Yes, please.
So I’ve not been into American Idol since, well, ever. But I adore this kid. And although yes Jessica has talent, for me her singing is a little “cold”, IE technical in it’s delivery. She is, very technically speaking, a superb singer. She is very much built to sell millions of pop songs. But Phillip has always come across as having a heart and a passion in his singing that I, PERSONALLY, haven’t seen from Jessica. He may not be a classically good singer who belts out like Jess does, but his rasp and funk more than makes up for it in my opinion. I don’t need another girl closing her eyes and wailing into a microphone. I need some heart. With that said, I also believe he’s not built for radio. He’s the guy who will fill my Ipod, but I won’t be able to hear anywhere in the mainstream. He’s DMB, Mumford & Sons, Paul Simon etc while Jessica is much more Taylor Swift. So even though I hope he wins, and I truly believe he deserves to win, I have this nagging feeling Jessica is going to get it.

But I couldn’t complain then either. Because at the end of the day, both Jess and Phillip have more talent in their pinkies than most popular artists on the radio now.
